LET THE LIGHT SPEAK: A New Dance World Order
The most sure way to reach the impossible is to believe that it IS possible!
The new millennium ballerina is one who uses her own vital force to get ahead. And no one better than herself to push forward, timing herself with self-imposed rigor, rather than being subjected to rigor imposed by others and their agendas.
Talent and creativity are latent in all of us. However, the ability to focus, develop discipline, and produce work are skills to be developed. Yoga awakens the energy required to move in that direction. This transformation is achieved through a personal yoga practice, everyday, in any way possible, despite all odds.
And all this for what? Not for self aggrandizement. It is not self-interest which pushes us forward, it is selflessness. I do what I do to let prospective enlightened dancers know that their push to become self sustainable will bring about a New Dance World Order.
This is a new Golden Age for Ballet. It’s an era of enlightenment and the dawn of a new age. The “over-man” and also “over-woman” a concept introduced by Nietzsche (even if the thought of including women didn’t even cross his mind) represents the next evolutionary step in humanity. (Also spruch Zarathustra.) The day will come when the skeptics, the non- believers, will watch the divine unfold right here on earth in front of their own eyes, and our efforts to go beyond the horizon which people think possible for us will bring truth to those who set those horizon limit for us.
To be one’s own judge requires courage. And the camera is our best ally. We use the camera because the camera never lies, and it wants nothing in return. When there is faith, the universe moves in too to make it possible and brings forth all matter of assistance (as Goethe wrote more that 200 years ago) and our destiny will someday whisper in our ears: “You have arrived!”
Let this be our Dance World Cup! Let it be the biggest evolutionary artistic tournament in the history of this planet. Let The Light Speak. Let The Light Dance.
I believe in bridges more than I believe in fences. That is why I dance and teach by example. The work I do will benefit others more than it will benefit me.
